Activity 4.1 - Chapter Review

Explain what an Animatic is and why it is beneficial.  Also post a link to a working animatic (there are plenty on YouTube). 

- As found on page 72, An Animatic  is an animated storyboard that is used to set the pacing of your project. An Animatic is so beneficial because it allows you to set down the story, what this basically means is this is how you can work out if the script is working or not and if it's not working like it should, this is the part where you can correct that. It is one of the most important parts of the process.

List three ways you can digitize your artwork.  Give a few tips to consider when utilizing each of these techniques. 

Three ways of digitizing your artwork are, Scanning, Photographing and last but not least, creating your own composite images. 

When scanning a few things to check or double-check are the settings. This will save you time and effort later on when in Photoshop, settings to check are Color (for the white balance), Levels (balanced of blacks, whites and mid-tones), Size (scan to the correct sizes) and lastly Crop (remove any unwanted areas)

For Photographing some tips are Shoot RAW because this allows you to edit the image non-destructively. Frame tightly around your artwork and avoid using flash, this can burn out detail. Stay away from digital zoom because it can degrade the image quality.

Give me the two different types of testing that should be done prior to delivering a product to your client.  How can each type of testing be accomplished?  Again, give me complete thoughts. 

The two types of testing that should be done prior to delivering your product are audience and technical testing. Audience testing allows you to find out and receive feedback on your product from people itself. To receive the most accurate and valuable information, target audience is key so select carefully! Technical testing is how the product runs and performs, the best way to ensure it will run smoothly on different platforms and devices is to put the project to the test on each one.
